ACTOR Jansen Panettiere was found dead on his living room floor at 28 years old after not attending a meeting.

After the actor missed a business meeting, friends of Hayden Panettiere's brother, Jansen, grew concerned that something was wrong with the actor.

They hurried to his apartment and discovered him to be unresponsive, when one of Jansen's friends Benjamin Brown began to perform CPR after calling 911, per information shared with the U.S. Sun.

Police investigating the death of Jansen said: “We are awaiting an official determination of the cause of death from the Rockland County Medical Examiner. After this determination, we may provide further information.”

A cause of death for the Nickelodeon star has not yet been revealed, but TMZ reports that law enforcement doesn't suspect foul play.

An insider told a reporter with The U.S. Sun that the incident happened at his apartment in upstate New York.

This sad news is just the latest heartbreak for Hayden, who recently opened up about her past struggles with substance abuse.

In July 2022, Hayden talked about her addictions to PEOPLE.

When she was just 15, the former teen actress revealed someone on her team gave her “happy pills” before walking onto the red carpet, which would make her upbeat during interviews.

This led to the dark path of opioids and alcohol.

She said: “I had no idea that this was not an appropriate thing, or what door that would open for me when it came to my addiction.

“I was on top of the world and I ruined it.”

Benjamin Brown confirmed he was indeed Jansen’s friend and that Jansen was supposed to attend a business meeting with Benjamin, Joe Fails, and Lars Arienti.

Brown was concerned when Jansen did not show up to the meeting. He, Joe, and Lars went to Jansen’s apartment and noticed him sitting upright in a chair unresponsive, which prompted the call to 911, according to the police report.

Alan Panettiere arrived at the scene, saying that he spoke to Jansen via telephone the night before, and added that he sounded “okay.” SGT.

Authorities have shared details from the police report in regard to Jansen Panettiere’s death with the U.S. Sun.

It describes how officers responded to a call for an unresponsive male. Upon arrival, police found Jansen’s friend Benjamin Brown performing CPR on him.

Per the report, Jansen was laying on his back on the living room floor, not breathing, and cold to the touch. He was pronounced dead on arrival at 5.11pm.

There were no obvious signs of trauma, according to police.
